Sylvia Campbell is Justice Sanders' administrative assistant and has worked for Justice Sanders since his election to the bench in November 1995. Sylvia graduated from U.C. Davis with a bachelor of arts degree in art history and thereafter became certified as a paralegal. She was formerly employed as a probate-tax paralegal for the Century City Office of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP, where she specialized in probate and trust administration.
Justice Sanders likes to explain to visitors that Sylvia does the "heavy-lifting" around the office - which translates to a wonderful recognition of the hard work it takes to maintain the highest of standards for the office. Sylvia, her husband, Kevin, and daughter, Grace Kikue, reside in Olympia, which Sylvia calls "the best small town in America." The Campbell family enjoys swimming, gardening, hiking the Olympics, and visiting with family and friends. Finally, a favorite Campbell family adventure is finding a memorable ice cream shop (we are still "wowed" by the memory of Yakima Valley Museum's Soda Fountain, a fully operational, circa-1930's-style ice cream parlor).
