Jeanette graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Washington in 1994 with a B.A. in political science.  She received her J.D. with honors from the University of Washington School of Law in 1998 and was elected to the Order of the Coif. 

Following law school, Jeanette clerked for the Honorable David Armstrong of the Washington State Court of Appeals, the Hon. Richard Sanders at the Washington Supreme Court, and the Honorable Ronald Gould at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in Seattle, Washington.  Following her clerkships, Jeanette was an associate in the Kirkland, Washington office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, PC. 

Jeanette is now Staff Attorney at the Washington Chapter of the Institute for Justice, a libertarian public interest law firm based in Washington, D.C.
