Darin was born in Wheatland, Wyoming on December 16, 1973 and grew up in Wyoming. He graduated with honors from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. While an undergraduate, he was elected Phi Beta Kappa and was named the Milward Simpson Outstanding Political Science Student. He spent his first year of law school at the University of Wyoming before transferring to the University of Washington with his wife, who was pursuing her medical degree. Darin received his J.D., with honors, in May 2000 from the University of Washington. While at Washington he was chosen for the regional Moot Court team and was elected to the Order of the Barristers as one of the top oral advocates in his class. He also worked in the Appellate Advocacy Clinic providing legal services for unrepresented appellants and, in his third year, had the opportunity to brief and argue a civil claim for postconviction relief before the Washington State Supreme Court. After graduation he worked as a law clerk for Justice Richard B. Sanders of the Washington Supreme Court from June of 2000 to June of 2001. In August of 2001 he joined the firm of Bjork, Lindley, Danielson & Little, P.C. in Denver, Colorado, where he litigates natural resource and other issues at the trial and appellate levels. He is admitted to the Bar in both Colorado and Wyoming, the federal district courts of those states, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. |
